Guess I should say something before the fire that's burning out of control reaches here too.
Here are the facts I know at the moment:
1. There is new, final DLC coming out for ME3. Bioware advertising there will be a casino to visit in it and Shepard will get to hang out with friends and old flames.
2. This DLC can only happen after the Coup.
3. Bioware PR peoples are being dodgy about the subject of Thane, saying it's spoilers to talk about the DLC.
4.There is one person going around saying there is some content in this DLC for Thane that only Thane romancers will see, however, it is "after Thane has passed on."
5. So it is highly likely whatever it is they have put in there, you can probably watch a 10 second clip on youtube or read about it on the wiki after the DLC has released.
Bioware is attempting to throw us a tiny bone and it's already blown up in their faces as the Thanemancers have their torches out before even seeing what this bone is.
I didn't exactly have my hopes up for this DLC in relation to Thane. I got a bit excited because I saw some evidence of Miranda going around, but now I'm thinking she'll just appear for the boys so her butt can take up half the screen for their pleasure per usual. She won't appear to hang out with Shepard and apparently has no other worth than her body.
At this point what is done, was long done back when they were piecing ME3 together and decided Thane's only worth was as a character is a death scene. It would be a lot of work for Bioware to undo it and they simply do not see any worth in doing it. And I'm pretty sure the fan reaction before this DLC is even out isn't making them change their minds about the value of this part of the fan base. I just can't really blame the fans for reacting, when this character was originally made as fan service as was much of ME2 was fan service and oddly, Bioware is surprised by fan reaction to a lot of the fan service being cut away.
I'm still going to keep the club running, I'm still a big drell/Thane fan, hope you guys all stick around too. We can make a cult out of this, do something positive. And if there is anything we can take away from the former Thane we all know and love: Life's too short to be pissed at these things for too long.
So please, please, please keep sending me your wonderful fan fictions and arts with much happier head canons.
